VIGILANTES RAID BANDITS HIDEOUTS, RESCUE 6 CAPTIVES IN SHIRORO, NIGER STATE
Local vigilantes stormed bandit enclaves and rescued six captives in the Dogon Ruwa Community of Shiroro Local Government Area in Niger State.
Amid the raid, a 9-years old female victim, Faiza Garba was killed in a crossfire that ensued between the bandits and the local vigilantes.
The information available indicates that the bandits abducted 25 people days ago in which the sum of N4million and two motorcycles were demanded as ransom in exchange for their freedom. This subsequently ensued the local vigilantes in Rafi LGA to organize a rescue mission that led to the release of six (6) captives.
Meanwhile, the freed victims have been moved to Kagara General Hospital for medical checkups before being reunited with their families while the deceased corpse has been handed over to the parents for burial.
