GOVERNOR ZULUM GIFTS CAR, APPROVES N13.9 MILLION SALARY ARREARS TO YORUBA DOCTOR WHO VOLUNTEERED MEDICAL SERVICES IN BORNO DESPITE BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has gifted a car and has approved N13.9 Million salary arrears to a Yoruba doctor, Isa Akinbode, who volunteered medical services in Borno State despite Boko Haram insurgency.



Governor Zulum, who applauded Dr. Akinbode's selfless service to humanity, revealed that most residents of Monguno fled the town after the insurgents' attack but the Doctor remained to render service to all the victims affected by the insurgency.



He noted that Dr Akinbode was once abducted by Boko Haram terrorists but was later set free.


The Governor also gave Dr Akinbode's daughter an automatic appointment.



Dr. Isa Akinbode is an indigene of Ogun state who graduated from the University of Maiduguri and worked with the General Hospital, Mongono as a medical doctor. He retired after 22 years of service due to some health challenges.
