POLICE ARRESTS 10 #OCCUPYLEKKITOLLGATE PROTESTERS IN LAGOS (VIDEO)
Security operatives on Saturday arrested about ten #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters in Lagos State.
The protesters had stormed the tollgate over its reopening by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC).
Recall that the tollgate has been shut since the shooting incident of October 20, 2020.
But last week, the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the #EndSARS crisis in Lagos State ordered that the LCC should reopen the facility. This triggered outrage and some persons vowed to protest against its reopening.
The Lagos CP, Hakeem Odumosu, had vehemently warned that the command would not tolerate any kind of protest in the State. Security operatives were deployed to the area since Friday evening to dislodge any form of demonstration.
