CENTRAL BANK OF GHANA RECEIVES FIRST COVID-19 COMPLIANT TRAINING IN INTELLIGENCE - TERRORIST FINANCING AND ORGANISED CRIME
Security operatives from the Central Bank of Ghana and other military and security agencies have become the first in West Africa to receive a specialist Covid-19 compliant 5 days innovative practice training on Intelligence, Defence against Financial terrorism and organised crime.
The bespoke training was organised by the globally acclaimed Anti Terrorism Accreditation Board (ATAB) and Stepped In Step Out (SISO) UK Ltd in partnership with Witz Support Service (WSS) delivered over a period of 5 days in a secured location in Accra - Ghana West Africa.
The training took place on the 11-15th January and was coordinated by the globally recognised Director of SISO and ATAB program designer and trainer - David Otto who is a Certified Master Anti Terrorism Specialist and an international Counter Terrorism and organised Crime consultant.
The first virtual and COVID-19 compliant face to face and virtual training in West Africa was attended by a limited number of 20 selected personnel including heads of security for the Central bank of Ghana (BOG) - Military personnel and Security Marshals of the Ghana House of Parliament.
The Covid 19 compliant scenario based practical subjects included - How to analyse and design Global Terrorism Threat in COVID-19 using the Otto’s Terror Triangle of Motivation - Capacity and Target in local context ; The links between Terrorism & Organised Crime ; The State of Terrorism in Africa ; Intelligence Analysis Techniques ; Predictive Analysis ; Counter Surveillance ; HUMINT; Terrorist Financing; How to Avoid Becoming a Victim of Terrorism & Kidnapping ; The five key principles and practice in Physical Security within the banking Sector; Securing a High Risk Environment and Team building techniques amongst others.
Key international and local facilitators included Lt Col. Alex Cann; Dr Siham El Kafafi ; Bulwark Intelligence, Tanwa Ashiru ; Col Chris Wyatt (Rtd) US Army War College; Dr Manu Lekunze of Aberdeen University. The training programme was designed and coordinated by David Otto.
