GUNMEN ABDUCT SAN, MURDER TWO OF HIS AIDES IN RIVERS STATE
Gunmen abducted a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and murdered two of his aides in Obio Akpor LGA, Rivers State, at about 1500hrs, on 17th April 2023. The armed men were alleged to be in military camouflage while carrying out the heinous activities.
The information available indicates that the gunmen first shot at the tyre of the police vehicle on the motion which resulted in a serious accident, and also shot three of the policemen before they get hold of the SAN in his vehicle and whisked him away.
Meanwhile, the wounded police officers are receiving treatment while the operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have mobilized to halt the kidnappers' activities and to rescue the victim unhurt.
