162 MORE EVACUEES FROM INDIA ARRIVE NIGERIA
162 Nigerians stranded in India due to the coronavirus pandemic have returned home, Abike Dabiri-Arewa, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission said.
The evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja at about 7:30 pm.
According to NIDCOM, the returnees all tested negative for COVID-19 and would be made to undergo 14 days self-isolation after which they would be re-tested for the virus.
The Commission wrote via Twitter, “ @flyairpeace flight conveying 162 Evacuees arrive Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport, Abuja at about 7:30 pm local time from India, today Wednesday, 8th of July, 2020.
96 Evacuees will disembark in Abuja while 66 will proceed to MM Int’l Airport, Lagos.
All Evacuees tested Negative to #COVID19 and will now proceed on 14 days SELF-ISOLATION as mandated by @NCDCgov @Fmohnigeria and PTF on #COVID-19.”

Recall, Eon Intelligence, on June 13, reported that 269 stranded Nigerians in the country returned.
