SOLDIERS INTERCEPT HOODLUMS' ILLICIT ACTIVITIES IN EBONYI STATE
The military men on 23rd August 2023 intercepted hoodlums' illicit activities in a fresh crisis that erupted at the Effium community, Umueze II village, Ohaukwu local area, Ebonyi State.
The information available indicates that the suspected warlords were demolishing and detaching a Christ Ascension Church's corrugated iron roofs which made the locals alert soldiers who intercepted their criminal activities.
On sighting the soldiers, the hoodlums jumped down from different parts of the church's roof and took to their heels while their men on guard fired gunshots to presumably impede the military men from intercepting them.
Meanwhile, the abandoned zinc roofs rolled into bundles and two wheelbarrows were recovered as exhibits.
