TENSION IN OSUN STATE AS GOVERNOR ADELEKE LEAVES PRAYER GROUND ANGRILY
Pandemonium ensued as Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, could not perform this year’s Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Osogbo Eid prayer ground today, 28th June 2023 at Oke-Baale, Osogbo, Osun State.
The information available indicates that the immediate-past spokesperson for the Nigerian Senate, Ajibola Basiru, who had arrived at the prayer ground allegedly sat at the position reserved for the governor. All efforts on Senator Basiru to leave the front space for Adeleke proved abortive.
Consequently, some Muslim leaders quickly intervened to douse the tension so that the prayer for the Eid-el-Kabir festival could commence.
Governor Adeleke and his entourage left the prayer ground angrily and could not participate in the religious event.
