THEATRE COMMANDER OF OPERATION HADIN KAI VISITS HEADQUARTERS OF SECTION TWO AREA, URGES TROOPS TO REMAIN FOCUSED
The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Christopher Musa, on Thursday visited the Headquarters Sector 2 Area of Responsibility in continuation of his familiarization tour of Sectors within the Theatre of operations.
In a statement by Army PRO, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the visit was part of his operational activities to assess the combat readiness and preparedness of troops of the sector.
He urged the troops to remain focused, determined and more proactive in their operational engagements, in order to dominate the general area and deny the insurgents freedom of action.
During the tour, Maj. Gen. Musa, who was accompanied by the Principal Staff Officers from Headquarters Theatre Command, inspected the newly constructed barracks accommodation for officers and soldiers at 233 battalion, as well as the Field Ambulance established to cater for the medical needs of troops in the Battalion.
He also conducted a twin hall meeting with security stakeholders including members of Civilian Joint Task Force, Vigilantes, Hunters, Peace Corps officials, as well as members of Yobe State National Union of Road Transport Workers.
