AMOTEKUN CORPS ARREST OGUN HOSPITAL BURGLARS
The operatives of Ogun State Security Network, the Amotekun Corps, have arrested suspected burglary syndicates that allegedly broke into the newly inaugurated 100-bed Mother and Child Hospital in Iperu, Ikenne LGA, Ogun State.
The hospital which was commissioned on Saturday, February 1, 2023, by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo got burgled by the suspects and carted away electronics equipment valued at 3 million naira. The items include six 43-inch Hisense T.V. sets, two 65-inch Bruhm T.V. sets, three Bruhm fridges, one Midea refrigerator, and three Lontor rechargeable standing fans.

Similarly, the suspected crime gang led by Ogunjembola Kehinde burgled another residence of one Kehinde Banjoko while she was away in Lagos and stole several household items such as generating sets, gas cylinders, cylinders fans, mattresses, and rugs, among others, valued at about N500,000.
Following an actionable intelligence, the prime suspect, Ogunjembola Kehinde, was apprehended, and upon interrogation, confessed that he led the gang and committed the alleged crime with one other now at large.
However, his crime confession led to the recovery of all the items stolen from one Lawal Aliu, who is the criminal receiver.
Meanwhile, three suspects in connection with the case have been arrested so far and efforts are ongoing aimed at apprehending other criminal receivers mentioned by the suspects to recover items allegedly sold to them.
