IGP, OTHERS ARRIVE KATSINA

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Muhammed Adamu, the National Security Adviser, Babagana Mongunu, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Magaji, on Wednesday, June 17, arrived Katsina over the rising security issues in the State.

 

The IGP was accompanied by other security officials led by the State Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba.

 

It was reported that the team had a closed-door meeting with Governor Aminu Masari at the General Muhammadu Buhari Government House, over the recent banditry attacks and other crimes in the State.

 

Mogunu, while speaking with newsmen, said the meeting was held to identify the cause and curb wave of banditry and other crimes in the State.

The NSA urged the residents to have confidence in the security operatives as they will bring an end to the banditry attacks in the State.

 

 “We need to build and restore the confidence of the local community and we had necessary reassurance from the state governor,” he said.
