GUNMEN KIDNAP OYO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN, DRIVER
Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the Chairman of Iganna Local Council Development of Oyo State, Olayiwola Adeleke and his driver.
The duo were kidnapped along the Okeho-Ado Awaye Road, Ibadan, while on their way to meet with the State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Sunday night.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Oyo State, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters.
The PPRO said: "Information reaching me reveals that he was along the Ado-Awaye-Iseyin Road.c
Fadeyi said investigation is ongoing to rescue the kidnapped victims and arrest the culprits.
Also, the Chairman, Oodua Peoples Congress in Oyo State, Mr Rotimi Olumo, also confirmed the Kidnap.
He said, “I have called my people and they said they had started combing the forests in the area in search of him.”
