POLICE APPREHEND NOTORIOUS KIDNAP TYCOON IN CALABAR
The operatives of Cross River State Police Command apprehended a notorious kidnap tycoon, Kufre Ekpo Etim, nickname Romance, on Tuesday 28th February 2023 at his hideout in Calabar, Cross River State.
The kidnapper who has been on the state government and police wanted list for about three years engaged the security personnel in a gun due at his hideout near the University of Calabar which made him seriously injured after he was overpowered.

The information available indicates that Etim has been terrorizing Calabar metropolis and its outskirts including some parts of Akwa Ibom for a long time before he met his waterloo.
However, the kidnap kingpin and an armed robber, who has massacred scores and abducted dozens of University of Calabar medical doctors and lecturers were apprehended following plausible intelligence by the ACKS that pivoted into action instantly.
Meanwhile, Etim's gang members escaped by the whiskers.
