ABOUT 500 TRAINED ISIS FIGHTERS SIGHTED WITH POWER BIKES AND AMMUNITION IN SOUTHWEST NIGERIA- GANI ADAMS

Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland has raised an alarm that the deadly ISIS terrorists have infiltrated the southwest regions of Nigeria.

The Aare Ona Kakanfo-in-Council said about 500 trained ISIS terrorists on power bikes were sighted lurking in the southwest forests on an abandoned Lusada route linking Sokoto to Igbo-Ora in Oyo state.

Gani said Sokoto to Igbo Ora in Oyo State lasts about 3 hours via that route and the ISIS terrorists have begun mapping that area and living in its forests.

He also warned residents living in Ibaraba, Oke Ogun, Sarki, and Igbo Ora to be extra cautious.

In an interview with the BBC, Gani said the strange-looking men sighted in the Southwest bushes were not Fulani herdsmen, adding that they dressed in Military Camos.

Gani Adams once again raised an allegation that came up earlier in the month by a former Mali Intelligence chief which claims that ISIS funds MURIC and allegedly offered some money to the Islamic organisation to recruit some Fulani men living in the southwest as ISIS fighters.

Gani Adams called on the Federal Government, the South West State Governors as well as Nigeria’s security agencies to rise to the occasion, and secure the lives and properties of the citizens.

In related news, Eons Intelligence reported that the Oyo State government approved the sum of N59.7 million for the take-off of the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) popularly known as Amotekun.

Governor Seyi Makinde said the funds are for the procurement of 3000 units of uniforms, combat boots, lanyard, baseball hats, security belts, worsted boots, and the production of a logo to distinguish the personnel from other security operatives in the State.

Makinde asserted that Amotekun would be regulated by the State Government, adding that there the security outfit would help in areas with a high level of security threats.
