UPDATE EDO ELECTION: COURT ORDERS HOLD ON APC PRIMARIES

The Federal High court sitting in Benin City, on Monday, June 8, 2020, gave an order preventing the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole from conducting the primary election in the State, the Nation reports. 


According to the report, the court temporarily stopped the State’s primary election pending the determination of the suit on June 11, 2020.


On Saturday, June 6, Lanre Issa-Onilu, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC scheduled the primary election for Monday, 22nd June 2020.


Today, the EDO APC in preparation for the primaries, presented the academic credentials of the six contestants for verification.
