BANDITS KILL MAN, KIDNAP HIS CHILDREN IN ZARIA LGA OF KADUNA

Eons Intelligence have gathered that Bandits have again killed a man in Sayen lemu, Dutsen Abba community, Zaria LGA of Kaduna, and also kidnapped three of his children.

This attack is barely 24 hours after bandits abducted five persons in Dallatu and Kasuwar Da’a areas of Dutsen Abba in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The victim, identified as Alhaji Habibu, was killed after the assailants infiltrated his residence around 11pm on Wednesday and shot him dead, before whisking his three children away.

It is pertinent to mention that Sayen lemu is a village close to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, 5km from where the bandits blocked the Kaduna-Zaria expressway on Monday, abducting not less than 30 commuters.

It was learnt that the assailants blocked the highway for several hours and also killed some persons who were commuting the route at that time

There has been an upsurge in highway abductions in Kaduna State recently with the Kaduna-Abuja expressway an epicentre for several bandits attacks.

It should be recalled that on November 23, Eons Intelligence reported that bandits abducted an unspecified number of commuters on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

This was 48 hours after armed bandits attacked commuters around Rijana area of the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, killing Alhaji Sagir Hamidu, 2019 All Peoples' Congress (APC) Gubernatorial candidate in Zamfara State and former Director of Protocol, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The recent abduction on the Kaduna-Zaria expressway comes after the Kaduna State Government restored telecommunication services in some parts of the State.

Recall, on September 29, Eons Intelligence reported that the State Government suspended telecommunication services to tackle the menace of banditry and other related crimes in the State.

Kajuru, Chikun, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Zaria, and Zango-Kataf were some of the Local Government Areas where telecommunication services were suspended in the State.
