FULANI WARLORD 'WAKILI' CHARGED WITH MURDER AND KIDNAPING, REMANDED IN PRISON
Abdullahi Wakili, the Fulani warlord in Ibarapa has been charged with murder and kidnapping.
The 70-year-old man alongside his sons Abu, 45, Samaila, 27, and 20-year-old Aliyu Manu on Tuesday was charged with six counts bordering on conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery in an Iyanganku Magistrate Court in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Idowu who did not take his plea for want in jurisdiction. The suspects were remanded in Abolongo Correctional facility in Oyo state.
Magistrate Idowu ordered that the police return the case file to the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution and adjourned the case till May 17.
Recall Wakili was arrested alongside his men by members of the Odua Peoples Congress in Oyo state following allegations of involving in kidnapping for ransom and other nefarious activities in Ibarapa land and its environs.
