Gov Otti’s Advance Team Attacked by Gunmen in Imo — Government Clarifies
An advance team from the Office of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, was ambushed by unidentified gunmen in the early hours of December 2.
The attack occurred along the Umuowa–Ihite axis, shortly before the Sam Mbakwe Airport Junction in Imo State, while the three-person team was en route to the airport.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ctz. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, the governor’s convoy was not involved in the incident, and no fatalities were recorded.
The Abia State Government has assured the public that investigations are underway.
