GUNMEN KIDNAP TWO OOU FEMALE STUDENTS

Two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) have been kidnapped by gunmen. 


The victims, Adeyemi Precious who is a student of the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management and Oyefule Abiola, a student of Agricultural Economics were abducted on Sunday night while returning to their hall of residence in Olowu area of Yewa North Local Government Area. 


DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesperson who confirmed the incident said the Command has launched a manhunt in conjunction with local hunters to rescue the victims and apprehend the criminals.

Eons Intelligence gathered that the abductors have contacted the families of the students and are demanding the sum of N50 million as ransom. 


Meanwhile, the abducted students and staff of the National Institute of Construction and Management Technology, Uromi, Edo state on Sunday regained their freedom. 


The victims comprising two students and a lecturer were kidnapped last week Wednesday.

The School released a statement that the Security operatives rescued the victims in a forest in Uromi but so far, there has been no report of the arrest of the criminals.
