MASSIVE SHAKEUP IN EFCC AS IT ORDERS ALL ZONAL AND UNIT HEADS TO SUBMIT THEIR HANDOVER NOTES
An internal leadership reshuffle seems imminent at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as all zonal and unit heads have been ordered to submit their handover notes with immediate effect.
On Friday, July 10, the order was communicated to all affected heads through an internal memo sighted by Eons Intelligence.
In the memo, the Director of Operations of the anti-graft agency, Mohammed Umar Abba, said the instruction is due to:
"the change of leadership at the Commission Suspending the former Ag Executive Chairman, Ibrahim Magu and directing the Director of Operations, Mohammed Umar Abba to take charge and oversee the activities of the Commission."

All affected parties are mandated to comply on or before Monday, July 13, by noon.
The internal memo was sent on the same day President Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Muhammed Umar, as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, following the suspension of Ibrahim Magu.
Ibrahim Magu is currently under investigation over alleged money laundering and re-looting of funds. He was apprehended on Monday, July 6.
