NDLEA Declares Four Wanted Over Drug Trafficking Syndicate
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared four individuals wanted for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking syndicate linked to Lagos drug kingpin, Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu, also known as Barryshine.
Barryshine was arrested on August 26, 2024, after being on the agency’s watchlist for two years.
Barryshine’s Alleged Drug Network
A statement by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Monday, revealed that Barryshine, the Managing Director/CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd., was under surveillance for his alleged role in four foiled attempts to export cocaine to Saudi Arabia and Qatar via Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, between 2022 and 2024.
Babafemi stated that several of Barryshine’s drug couriers had already been arrested, prosecuted, and convicted, while Barryshine himself is facing multiple criminal charges.
