POLICE ARREST ELECTED NNPP HOUSE OF REPS MEMBER OVER ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARMS IN KANO
The operatives of Kano State Police Command have arrested one Aliyu Madaki of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) over illegal possession of a firearm and flaunting it during last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Kano State.
The information available indicates that Madaki was declared House of Representatives member-elect to represent the people of Dala Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, he has been charged to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Kano State Police Command for investigation.
However, the CP has indicated his readiness to tame the provocative elements or actors, irrespective of their figure in the public space, if they are out to disturb the peaceful climate in the state as it happened in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.
