POLICE ARREST NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE, RECOVER ARMS IN KATSINA STATE
Police operatives attached to Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), Zone 14, Katsina, on August 4, 2023, accosted a 25yrs old notorious armed robbery kingpin, one Muhammad Hadi, (M) Behind Haman Plaza, Kabuga Quarters, Kano, Kano state.
The suspect has been terrorizing FCT Abuja, Kano, Katsina and Kaduna states before nemesis caught up with him while trying to dispose a motor vehicle, Toyota, Corolla LE, dark blue with registration number KANO, DAL 729 TZ, reasonably suspected to be stolen.
The detectives instantly searched the suspect and recovered the following exhibits in his possession:
One English Pistol
A Taser security device
Motor vehicle plate number – NIGER, SUL 96 GK Five ATM cards of different banks
A Bank Token.
In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed that on 26/06/2023 at about 2030hrs, he conspired with the following suspects: one (1) Arafat Yahaya, (M)aged 20yrs of Dutsen Amare Quarters, Katsina, (2) Ahmed Lawal, (M)aged 21yrs of Filin fives Quarters, Katsina and (3) Al’amin Ndubisi, (M) (now at large), attacked one Kingsley Agubata, (M)aged 31yrs of NO. 5 Winners Way, Dawaki, Abuja, at gunpoint and robbed him of his motor vehicle, Toyota Corolla LE, valued two million, eight hundred thousand naira, (N2,800,000:00K).
Meanwhile, suspects have been on the wanted list of the Kano State Police Command, for similar offences of armed robbery and snatching of motor vehicles.
