POLICE ARREST SERIAL PHONE THIEF IN OYO, RECOVER 16 IPHONES
The Oyo State police command has arrested a serial phone thief in Oyo State, recovering 16 iPhones from him.
The suspect, 23, was arrested on Saturday January 22 in connection with a case of burglary and stealing which occurred around 10pm on December 28, at Choice Plaza, Challenge area, Ibadan, where mobile phones and accessories worth N2,000,000 were allegedly stolen.
Confirming his arrest, the State's Police Commissioner, CP Ngozi Onadeko, said the painstaking and diligent investigations, through the swift deployment of intelligence and tactical assets, led to the arrest of the suspect.
She stated that several stolen items were recovered from the suspects including 16 iPhone mobile phones, a white earpiece, one unbranded white-coloured earpod, a Sony Vio laptop, one Dell laptop and a black shuttle bag.
