POLICE PARADE WOMAN OVER ALLEGED KIDNAPPING OF HER DAUGHTER IN KANO STATE
The operatives of Kano State Police Command on 11th May 2023 paraded a 25-year-old woman, Raham Sulaiman, for allegedly kidnapping her 6-year-old daughter, Hafsat Kabiru, and demanding ransom from her ex-husband.
The information available indicates that the woman allegedly took her daughter to a nearby relative in Madobi to keep for her, on a claim that she would travel for several days.
Consequently, the suspect called the father of her daughter who is also her ex-husband, Kabiru Shehu of Sharada Quarters, Kano Municipal LGA that his daughter named Hafsat Kabiru, (f)6 years old was missing and that unknown persons called her through her mobile phone demanding the sum of Three Million Naira (N3,000,000:00k) as ransom.
Afterward, the report got to the security operatives who swiftly swung into action and rescued the claimed victim in Madobi LGA.
Following a thorough investigation, the divorced wife was arrested and confessed to planning the kidnapping and took her daughter to a hideout, and demanded the ransom. Hence, the investigation is in progress.
