RESIDENTS FLEE AS GUNMEN KILL FUEL ATTENDANT, DEALER IN OSE LGA OF ONDO
Residents of Okeluse in Ose LGA of Ondo State have fled the community following an attack by gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen, who killed a dealer and an attendant at a fuel station.
It was gathered that the assailants stormed the community around 9pm on Sunday January 23.
The fuel dealer, identified as Oladimeji Aborowa, died on the spot after he was shot by the gunmen while the fuel attendant passed away in the Hospital after sustaining gunshot injuries.
The incident has sparked tension in the community, forcing residents to flee and take refuge in the bush.
Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police PRO, Funmilayo Odunlami, said security operatives were immediately drafted to the scene and Investigations have begun.
It would be recalled that two weeks ago in Molege settlement in Ondo, gunmen attacked and killed three persons working on their farm.
It is pertinent to mention that suspected herdsmen have been attacking residents in Ose LGA of Ondo State back to back for about two weeks now, killing, raping women and torching houses.
