UPDATE: POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN CONNECTION WITH THE KILLING AT RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
The Rivers State police command has arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of a man at the Rivers State University (RSU) Port Harcourt on Thursday morning.
Eons Intelligence earlier reported that gunmen suspected to be cultists on Thursday went on rampage at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) in Port Harcourt, killing one person.
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Eboka Friday, had ordered an investigation into the incident with a view to arresting all the people that were behind the killing.
“Currently, information is still sketchy but we will inform members of the public about the situation as soon as we know more,” he added.
The spokesman for the university, Dr. Harcourt Whyte, who could not confirm the identity of the deceased, said that one of its students was also attacked by the gunmen.
