ARMED HUNTERS NAB FOR RESISTING ENFORCEMENT ON MOTORCYCLE BAN
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) arrested four suspected armed hunters who attacked its Task Force on enforcement of restrictions on commercial motorcyclists at Sabon Lugbe community along the Airport Road when they went to enforce the ban in the area in Abuja.
The suspects allegedly used guns and arrows to obstruct the task force's operations last week, preventing the team from impounding motorcycles and arresting riders for violating route restrictions.
Sequel to that on Thursday, the hunters re-mobilized with guns, but were demobilized by a large number of well-armed members of the Joint Task Force of both the Police, Army and other security agencies who confiscated two locally made guns from the hunters and impounded 72 motorcycles.
