BREAKING: KIDNAPPED AKEWUGBAGOLD’S TWINS REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER EIGHT DAYS IN CAPTIVITY
The twin toddlers of Alhaji Taofeeq Akewugbagold has regained freedom after eight days in captivity.
The famous Ibadan Sheik confirmed their release via his Facebook account on Sunday morning saying they were released early Sunday at 05:30 am.
Eons Intelligence reported on May 2 that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of sum of £100,000 - equivalent to 55 million naira for the release of the children.
It is uncertain if the ransom was paid.
The Akewugbade twins were abducted at gunpoint on Sunday, April 26 at his residence in Ojoo, Ibadan, Eons Intelligence reported.
Sharing the good news on Facebook, the relieved father wrote “ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30 am OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND. THANKS TO U ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.”
