Clashes Erupt in Dei- Dei Building Material Market
Residents of Dei- Dei have been thrown into panic following the eruption of clashes in the building material market at 1408hrs, 18th May 2022.
Multiple sources indicated that the violence started immediately after a trailer allegedly crushed a woman that fell from a motorcycle to death.
Sources also indicated the incident led to the burning of motorbikes which degenerated into a crisis.
The police spokesperson Mariam Yusuf confirmed that the police are there to calm down any uproar.
The general public is advised to be calm as the situation is under control by security operatives.
