COVID-19: THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION WILL CONDUCT AN INDEPENDENT PANDEMIC PROBE -DG
Tedros Adhanom, the Director-General of the World Health Organisation on Monday, pledged to initiate an independent probe to review the Coronavirus response as soon as possible.
The DG made the promise during his opening remarks at the 73rd World Health Assembly held virtually on May 18.
“I will initiate an independent evaluation at the earliest appropriate moment to review experience gained and lessons learned, and to make recommendations to improve national and global pandemic preparedness and response,” he said.
Adhanom urged all nations and organisations also to review their response to the Coronavirus pandemic and learn from them.
“Every country and every organisation must examine its response and learn from its experience.”
