EFCC ARRESTS MOTHER AND SON FOR ALLEGED N50M INTERNET FRAUD

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a mother and child for alleged N50M internet fraud in Lagos State.


The suspect, identified as Ibeh Theophilus Uche, 28, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 10 Kobo Wine Place, Ikotun, Lagos, was arrested in his room at Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, after credible intelligence and investigation reports about his nefarious and fraudulent activities.


During interrogation, the suspect confessed to be a bearer of multiple identities. He revealed that he bears Rachael Armstrong , Keanu Reeves, Rebekah Schwarzenberger, Keanu Private, Elizabeth Hortman and Stefan Paulson, and confessed to be involved in Bitcoin investment scam, romance scam and identity theft.

Theophilus said he started his fraudulent activities last year, stressing that he has defrauded his victims to the tune of about N50M. 


The EFCC said the suspect uses his mother's first bank account to conceal all the funds he has acquired from his criminal activities.


Items recovered from the suspect include; one iPhone 11 Pro Max; one iPhone 12 pro max; two MacBook Pro laptops; a PlayStation 5; an iPad and a small Nokia touch phone.


Others are a Mercedes Benz S550 2015 Sedan car and a Lexus RX 350 SUV 2016, among other incriminating items.
