EIGHT NEW JUDGES SWORN IN BY SANWO-OLU

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, May 12, swore in eight Honourable Judges of the High Court of Lagos State. 

 


Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a tweet on Tuesday, May 12. 


The swearing in occasion was held at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.


Sanwo-Olu said the development is to strengthen the State High Court following the confirmation by the National Judicial Council. 


The newly sworn-in Judges are:



Hon. Justice Dorcas Taiwo Olatokun, Hon. Justice Yhaqub Gbadebo Oshoala, Hon. Justice Omotola Ibironke Oguntade, Hon. Justice Olufunke Sule-Amzat, Hon. Justice Dr. Rasul Oriyomi Olukolu, Hon. Justice Sharafa Abioye Olaitan, Hon. Justice Ezekiel Oluwole Ashade and Hon. Justice Adeniyi Funsho Pokanu.



"It is my fervent hope that our new Judges will work to make our Judiciary remain a true beacon of hope for the common man".


On behalf of the newly sworn- in judges, Hon. Justice Dorcas Taiwo Olatokun appreciated Sanwo-Olu and promised that they will diligently discharge their Judicial duties without bias.
