GUNMEN ABDUCT FORMER KOGI LAWMAKER SANI MAKAMA FROM ABUJA HOTEL
Gunmen have kidnapped a two-term former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Sani Makama, from a hotel in Tunga Maje, FCT, Abuja.
Makama, who represented Igalamela Odolu State constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was abducted in the early hours of Thursday when his abductors invaded the Hilltop hotel located in Tugun Maga village, in Zuba area of the FCT.
The armed men shot sporadically into the air to scare away the security men on guard and kidnapped the owner of the hotel and six others.
As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers are yet to demand a ransom for the release of the former Lawmaker.
It is pertinent to mention that Tunga Maje town, located along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, has become a hotbed for kidnappings in recent months.
