GUNMEN KILL FORMER BENUE STATE GOVERNOR'S ELDER BROTHER, TERKURA SUSWAM AND HIS AIDE
Reports indicate that Gunmen have killed Terkura Suswam, elder brother to former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, and his aide identified as Mr Solomon.
The incident occurred late on Tuesday when Suswam and his aide sat opposite his house at Elohim Plaza, Anyiin, Venue State, to supervise repairs at the plaza.
Sources say the gunmen who drove in a Toyota Camry vehicle attacked and shot them.
In a statement by the State's Police PRO, Anene Sewuese Catherine, the victims were rushed to NKST Anyii hospital where they were eventually confirmed dead.
The Police PRO, who said the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital for autopsy, noted that investigation has begun to ensure the murderers are arrested and brought to justice.
She added that additional security agents have been deployed to Anyiin town to assist the police division in their search for the killers.
