IGP ORDERS ONDO COMMISSIONER OF POLICE TO RESTORE DEPUTY GOVERNOR'S SECURITY DETAILS
Nigeria's Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Bolaji Salami, to restore the security details of the Deputy Governor of the State, Agboola Ajayi.
The directive was contained in a letter issued to the Ondo Police Commissioner through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Department of Operations, Force headquarters, Abuja.
Deputy Governor had last week raised the alarm that security details attached to him and his office were withdrawn by the Nigeria Police in the State.
Recall that Eons Intelligence had reported a video on June 21st, 2020, showing Me Bolaji Salami, the newly deployed Commissioner of Police in Ondo State stopping the Deputy Governor of the State from leaving the Government house in Akure.
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, and his Deputy, Ajayi, have been at a political battle which finally led to the resignation of the Deputy Governor from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
