LAWMAKERS IMPEACH GOMBE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SPEAKER
The Speaker of the Gombe House of Assembly, Sadiq Ibrahim Kurba, has been impeached.
16 out of 24 lawmakers voted for the impeachment of the Speaker on Tuesday, November 24, during a plenary at the House.
Ibrahim Kurba was immediately replaced with Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo representing Akko Central constituency.
Abubakar Luggerewo, 36, becomes the 7th Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly.
