MAN ARRAIGNED FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED GIRL
A 35-year-old man, identified as Olufemi Kehinde, was arraigned in an Ota Magistrate court in Ogun State, on Tuesday, June 9 for allegedly raping a physically challenged girl.
Kehinde was accused of raping the victim,name withheld, at his residence, Success Street, Abule Isale, Ota on February 12, 2020.
The prosecutor, Inspector E. O Adaraloye, said that the defendant lured the physically challenged girl to his residence and used his manhood to caress her private part.
Adaraloye said that the offense contravened Section 360 of the Criminal Code Vol. 1, 2006.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, A. O Adeyemi granted him a bail of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Adeyemi added that the sureties must reside within the court's jurisdiction and be employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun State Government.
The case was adjourned to June 19 for trial.
