NIGERIA DOES NOT BELONG TO ME OR ANY POLITICAL PARTY - PRESIDENT BUHARI
President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has said the country does not belong to him or any political party in Nigeria.
He made this known while addressing the nation on the occasion of its 60th Independence Anniversary.
He said; "Nigeria is not a country for Mr. President, any ruling or opposition party but a country for all of us and we must play our part, irrespective of challenges we face, to make this country what we desire."
The President called for togetherness, focus, and a sincere process of national healing for everyone.
He said the nation must find ways of resolving its challenges which underlies its present state and condition.
President Buhari urged all leaders to evolve and sustain a democratic culture that leaves power in the hands of the people.
He added that Nigerians, while contributing to good governance, must demand accountability from all elected leaders and representatives.
