NO FACE MASK, PAY N10,000
Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has warned residents of the State that failure to wear their face masks would attract a fine of N10,000.
Obiano disclosed this in a state-wide broadcast yesterday.
He said he had signed the COVID-19 law, adding that it was now an offence to be seen in the public without a face mask.
The Governor urged all traders and shop owners to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 protocols.
He added that his administration would continue to push back at this pandemic until its presence in the State is reduced.
“We are ramping up our testing capacity to ensure that we slow down the spread of this pandemic in our dear state.”
“The offence attracts a fine of N10, 000 or some hours of community service. My administration is determined to enforce this law,” Obiano said.
