OPHK Troops Continue Offensive Operations, Neutralize Terrorists, and Recover Arms and Logistics

Troops of the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have intensified their offensive operations under Operation DESERT SANITY V, achieving notable success in recent engagements across the theatre.

In Sector 2, a coordinated night operation with the Civilian Joint Task Force led to the neutralization of several terrorists in the Muktum and Ngirbuwa villages. The troops successfully recovered two AK-47 rifles, three motorcycles, and mobile phones from the terrorists. Further investigation of the area revealed drag marks and a shallow grave, suggesting additional casualties among the terrorists.

Meanwhile, in Sector 1, troops conducted a successful operation along the Bulayobe–Darel Jamel axis, where they engaged fleeing terrorists attempting to cross the Main Supply Route. The terrorists fled, leaving behind two sacks filled with assorted logistics items, likely meant for supporting their operations.

While the overall security situation remains calm yet unpredictable, the morale and combat effectiveness of the troops continue to be high. OPHK is committed to maintaining pressure on Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, with the goal of restoring lasting peace and stability to the North East region.
