PLATEAU SEALS HOSPITAL AS THREE STAFF TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

The Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area in Plateau state, Shehu Bala Usman, has ordered the closure of the Primary Health Care Centre in Ungwa Rimi community of the council Area.


The closure of the health centre comes after three members of staff tested positive to COVID -19.


The Senior Information Officer of Jos North Local Government Area, Mr Philip Eplong, confirmed the development in a statement today.


Eplong said, “The Primary Health Care clinic in unguwa Rimi in Jos North Local Government Area has been sealed.


“This follows the COVID 19 positive test results of three Medical personnel from unguwa Rimi Primary Health center.


“The confirmation of COVID 19 of the three medical personnel was made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control after a series of tests by medical professionals.


Usman called on all health personnel in the area to take caution when handling any patient.


He asked residents of Jos not to panic as the State Government is doing everything possible to curtail the spread of the virus.
