POLICE ARREST HEALTH WORKERS OVER MISSING PLACENTA IN ONDO
The operatives of Ondo State Police Command apprehended two health workers, and a security guard over a baby’s missing placenta at the Comprehensive Health Centre, Emure-IIe, Owo LGA, Ondo State.
The information available indicates that the health workers failed to present the baby's placenta to one Tunde Ijanusi, the father of the baby, after birth on 15th June 2023.
One of the health workers revealed to the paternal grandmother of the baby, Funmilayo Ijanusi that dog invaded the premises and took the placenta away.
Meanwhile, the two health workers and the security guard on duty had been invited by the police and the case is under investigation.
