U.S. AIRLINES TO RESUME BEIJING FLIGHTS AS CHINA LOOSENS FOREIGN AIRLINE RESTRICTIONS
U.S. airlines would be able to operate in Beijing as China on Thursday lifted restrictions on foreign airlines operating in the country.
China suspended foreign airlines’ ban, which was put in place to curb the spread of the Coronavirus barely 24 hours after the U.S. Transport Department announced the suspension of Chinese passenger airlines effective June 16.
The Coronavirus pandemic has heightened tensions between the U.S. and China after Trump accused the Asian country of not being honest about the origin of the Coronavirus.
Both superpowers had openly been throwing jabs and accusations at each other.
