POLICE KILL TWO SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN DELTA

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have killed two suspected kidnappers in Delta state. 


According to CP Ari Muhammed, the Delta state Commissioner of Police, on Wednesday, the police unit acted on a tip-off that some armed robbers and kidnappers were sited at a location opposite the Federal Road Safety Corps office in Asaba and engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel. 


Two of the hoodlums sustained fatal gun injuries and succumbed to their wounds while the others escaped.

An AK-47 with BREECH number 19567 and two magazines with 18 rounds of live ammunition were recovered at the scene of the incident. 


Similarly, Patrol teams in Abraka rescued a hotelier and sixteen workers from suspected kidnappers. 


Eons Intelligence gathered that gunmen attacked the hotelier identified as Zion Onofighe at his site in For, Ughelli at about 7:37 pm on Wednesday.

Responding to his distress call, the police team raced to the scene and engaged the gunmen who fled and left behind a Toyota Highlander jeep. 


The hotelier and his workers were rescued unhurt.
