SUSPECTED HERDSMEN KILL TWO, ABDUCT ONE IN EBONYI STATE COMMUNITY
No fewer than two persons have been killed by the Suspected Fulani herdsmen on 18th June 2023 at Ishiagu community, Ivo LGA, Ebonyi State.
The information available indicates that one Emmanuel Igwe was shot dead by the herders on the head along Ishiagu/Mpu Road on his way back from Abia State.
The victim was a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and an Assistant Electoral Officer in Afikpo North INEC LGA office. His wife who was riding with him was abducted.
Similarly, the suspected herdsmen slaughtered the father of the Ohaneze Ndigbo National Youth chairman, Mazi Damian Okafor, on his farm on the same day they killed the INEC staff.
