TROOPS ARREST THREE TERRORIST COLLABORATORS IN TARABA STATE

In a swift and intelligence-driven operation, troops from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested three individuals suspected of collaborating with terrorist elements in Taraba State. The operation took place on October 15, 2024, at Landey Jessy village in Lau Local Government Area.


According to Captain Oni Olubodunde, Acting Spokesperson of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, the troops acted on intelligence reports of bandit activity in the Kona mountain range, which spans Jalingo and Lau councils. The suspects, identified as Ahijo Sulaiman, Abdulrahman Isah, and Aisha Mohammed, are currently in custody undergoing further investigation.


Aisha Mohammed, wife of Ahijo Sulaiman, revealed that their residence was used to hide weapons after terrorist operations. Abdulrahman Isah was identified by a victim as the person who attempted to kidnap them in Iware, Ardo-Kola Local Government Council, in September 2024.


The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives, property, and preserving the nation's territorial integrity. The army urges the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to help rid the country of terrorism and other forms of insecurity.
