TROOPS RESCUE TEN VICTIMS WHO WERE ABDUCTED FROM KADUNA AIRPORT
The Nigerian Army has rescued the ten victims who were abducted by bandits from the Kaduna International Airport staff quarters two weeks ago.
Recall, on March 6, Eons Intelligence reported that the victims were abducted by bandits from the junior staff quarters of the airport at Ifira village in Igabi Local Government Area.
Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the development.
The rescue operation happened when the troops who were patrolling one of the forests in Kaduna came in contact with the kidnappers and their victims.
On sighting the soldiers, the bandits opened fire, prompting the troops to decisively engage them. With superior firepower, troops soon overwhelmed them and they were forced to abandon their victims and take to their heels.
Aruwan said the abductees were rescued by troops on Wednesday afternoon and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital after which they will be reunited with their families.
