TRUCE BROKEN IN BAMA COMMUNITY, FIVE DAYS AFTER SIGNING PEACE ACCORD
Barely five days after signing peace accord by four major political parties in Borno State unknown persons attacked PDP supporters in Bama on Sunday 10 December 2022.
The information available indicates that unknown persons attacked three PDP supporters, wounded them and subsequently carted away with their branch office materials.
The attack was said to be reported to the Nigeria Police Force, Bama Divisional office.
It would be recalled that a peace accord was signed on Tuesday 6th December 2022 in the Nigeria Police Force Borno State Command before the Commissioner of Police, witnessed by Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC ) INEC Borno State, other security agents, political parties, CSOs among others.
The treaty was signed to prevent political violence, hate speech and thuggery among other social vices before, during and after elections.
