UPDATE: SEVILLA BEAT BETIS IN SEVILLE DERBY

There was plenty of drama as Sevilla beat Real Betis 2nil in the Seville derby as La Liga resumed after a three-month suspension due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Large groups of fans ignored guidelines as they gathered outside the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium before the game.

Argentine winger, Lucas Ocampos, played an integral part in the derby as he helped the hosts struck first blood against Betis.

The 25-year old was a constant menace for the opposition as he drew out defenders and terrorised them with his blistering pace.

Ocampos was the game's key player throughout, rattling the crossbar from an acute angle in the first half before breaking the deadlock from the penalty spot.

The wide man then produced a delicious assist with his heel to find Fernando for the game-sealing goal.

However, Real Betis had the greater share of possession with 54% to Sevilla’s 46%.

The Spanish La Liga is the second of Europe's big five leagues to resume, with the Premier League following suit next week.
